Looking to assess the viability of your business idea? This five-part business planning series will introduce you to the crucial elements you need to consider when you start a business. Business planning is essential to developing a thriving enterprise that provides essential goods or services while providing a return on investment for its owner. At the conclusion of the series you will have completed a draft business plan that will serve as a roadmap for operating your business. Attendees will: • Examine the key aspects of your business including finance, marketing and operations and identify and prepare for potential challenges before you invest money, time and resources • Identify key trends and factors that can affect your success or threaten your livelihood • Understand the importance of knowing your competition, target market and industry • Ask tough questions that challenge your assumptions • Understand what it takes to start and grow a small business
