SBA Small Business Week - Business Plan Competition

The FSBDC at Hillsborough County is hosting a business plan competition targeting pre-venture start-up and early-stage business (1-3 Years). To participate entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit a complete business plan for a chance to win one of three cash prizes. Ten contestants will be selected from applications received to present on the day of the event. The event will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 1:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M., at the Entrepreneurial Collaborative Center, 2101 E Palm Ave, Tampa. All submitted plans must include the following layout to be considered: • Executive Summary • Company Description • Products & Services Description • Operation Plan • Marketing plan • Financial Projections Your business plan must be in a Word or other word processing document. No PowerPoint business plans will be accepted. From submitted applications ten business plans will be selected as finalists to present to a panel of judges. Presentations and PowerPoint slides must be a maximum of seven minutes in length with an additional five minutes for judge clarifying questions. Cash prizes are going to be awarded to the three top-scoring contestants. The prizes are: • 1st place $3000 • 2nd place $1500 • 3rd place $500 Registration is required for all Interested parties. Participants must e-mail and attach their completed business plan in the format previously provided to galloc@hillsboroughcounty.org. by no later than 11:59 PM on 24 April 2023.
